Lead JavaScript Full-Stack Developer (ReactJS, Next.js)
Skills
About the role
We are searching for an accomplished Lead JavaScript Full-Stack Developer with profound expertise and passion for engineering rich, responsive web and hybrid-mobile applications at scale. In this role, you'll leverage your mastery of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js to define technical vision, lead engineering teams, and deliver fast, SEO-friendly, and mobile-first user interfaces that set the benchmark across the entire organization.
You'll own the design of outstanding web experiences that look and feel like native mobile apps, defining performance optimization strategies for both desktop and mobile web view browsers (including iOS Safari). Partnering closely with backend leads, UX designers, product owners, and engineering management, you'll translate complex interactive designs into elegant, modular, and reusable front-end architectures - while building, coaching, and scaling a high-performing team of engineers and championing best practices across the department.
Responsibilities
Define the technical vision and architecture for high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications using React and Next.js (leveraging advanced features such as SSR, SSG, ISR, API routes, and Server Components)
Lead and coordinate cross-team initiatives to implement pixel-perfect, mobile-first designs that adapt seamlessly across devices, with a specific focus on optimizing layouts, animations, and touch interactions for mobile viewports (including iOS/Android browsers)
Establish organization-wide strategies for managing complex client-side state (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Context API) and oversee robust integrations with backend RESTful or GraphQL APIs
Own and drive performance engineering strategy across products - setting standards for profiling and optimizing applications for maximum loading speed, Core Web Vitals, and smooth rendering on lower-powered mobile devices
Establish engineering standards for clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested JavaScript/TypeScript code; oversee code review culture, coding standards, and the long-term evolution of our shared UI component library and design system
Build, mentor, and grow a team of senior, mid-level, and junior developers; conduct performance reviews, foster career development, and cultivate a culture of technical excellence
Partner with product, design, and engineering leadership to shape the technical roadmap, influence company-wide architectural decisions, and align technical strategy with business goals
Drive hiring, onboarding, and technical evaluation processes to scale the front-end engineering organization
Requirements
5+ years of proven background in modern web development, including at least 1 year in a technical leadership role, with a strong track record of delivering complex, user-facing products to production at scale
Expert-level knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and React, including advanced patterns, performance tuning, and architectural best practices
Deep, production-grade expertise in the Next.js framework (App Router and Pages Router, Server Components, advanced rendering strategies) with experience defining framework-level standards
Strong command of modern CSS frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Tailwind CSS, styled-components, CSS Modules), with a proven ability to define and enforce styling architecture across large-scale, multi-team projects
Extensive expertise in optimizing web apps for mobile browsers, building PWAs (Progressive Web Apps), and architecting web view integrations within hybrid mobile containers
Proven background in architecting, launching, and evolving reusable component libraries and enterprise-grade design systems
Solid command of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum practices, with the ability to shape engineering processes and delivery workflows
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, mentoring senior engineers, driving cross-functional technical initiatives, and collaborating with executive stakeholders
Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
