Senior DevOps Engineer (GitLab CI/CD & GitOps)

Role description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, and CI/CD automation practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable deployment pipelines, driving GitOps-based infrastructure and application management, supporting Release on Demand processes, and ensuring operational visibility through monitoring and observability solutions. This role requires close collaboration with development teams to improve deployment efficiency, reliability, and platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment workflows.

Implement and manage GitOps practices for infrastructure and application delivery.

Manage repository structures, version control strategies, and deployment workflows through GitOps principles.

Configure and maintain pipeline orchestration, triggers, and scheduling mechanisms.

Drive Release on Demand (RoD) processes to enable faster, controlled, and reliable production releases.

Ensure secure handling of configuration and deployment artifacts within CI/CD environments.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize CI/CD pipeline performance and reliability.

Utilize Datadog dashboards and logs to provide operational visibility and support incident analysis.

Collaborate with development and engineering teams to integrate DevOps best practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Improve deployment frequency and reduce failure rates through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Support containerized application deployment and management using Docker.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, availability, and scalability standards across the CI/CD ecosystem.
