Engineering Manager Full-Stack Development
Location: Remote

Reporting To: Head of Engineering
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of full-stack developers, quality engineers, DevOps engineers, and technical leads.
Manage the complete software-development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Own sprint planning, delivery commitments, resource allocation, and engineering execution.
Provide technical direction for applications and services developed using C#, .NET, Java, Ruby, and modern web technologies.
Guide the design of scalable, secure, cloud-native applications hosted on AWS.
Review system architecture, technical designs, and complex code changes.
Establish and enforce engineering standards for coding, testing, documentation, security, and deployment.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, business stakeholders, and customer-facing teams to translate requirements into executable technical plans.
Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and technical debt, and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Improve development velocity, product quality, platform reliability, and release predictability using measurable engineering metrics.
Promote automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and DevOps best practices.
Manage production issues and ensure timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Conduct performance reviews, provide regular feedback, support career development, and participate in hiring and team-building activities.
Communicate engineering progress, risks, decisions, and outcomes clearly to U.S.-based stakeholders.
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
9+ years of software-engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role.
Experience managing remote or geographically distributed development teams.
Strong technical experience in at least two of the following technologies, with the ability to oversee solutions across the others:
C# and .NET
Java and related frameworks
Ruby and Ruby on Rails
Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native application architecture.
Experience designing and delivering full-stack web applications, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, performance optimization, and system integration.
Experience with Git-based development, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Working knowledge of containers, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and application observability.
Strong understanding of software security, scalability, availability, and performance.
Demonstrated success delivering enterprise software within defined timelines and quality expectations.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work remotely with consistent availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
Good to have: Experience enabling AI within an organization or team, with a trailblazer mindset and an AI-first approach to problem-solving.
