Key Responsibilities

Backend Engineering & Cloud

Deliver production-grade Java Spring Boot services - including Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and WebFlux.

Design and optimise data access layers across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra for scale and resilience.

Implement Kubernetes-based deployment topologies (Helm, Kustomize, service mesh via Istio/Linkerd).

Architect CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, or Tekton.

Oversee observability stacks: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring / Azure Monitor.

Frontend & Integration

Collaborate with frontend teams on React/HTML5 BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) patterns and micro-frontend integrations.

Define CDN, SSR, and caching strategies to meet performance budgets from backend perspective.

Architect secure integration with third-party SaaS and internal platforms via event streaming (Kafka, Pub/Sub).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

7-10 years of hands-on software engineering experience.

Proven delivery of large-scale cloud-native platforms on GCP and/or Azure in production at 10M+ users.

Expert-level proficiency in Java (11+) and the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Cloud, Security, WebFlux).

Extensive experience with containerisation (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration (GKE / AKS).

Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Apache Cassandra.

Strong command of microservices design, REST/gRPC APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns.

Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / Pulumi) and GitOps workflows.

Hands-on exposure to React/HTML5 and BFF architecture patterns.

Track record of leading architecture reviews, engineering governance, and cross-functional delivery.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with AI/ML platform integration (Vertex AI, Azure ML, LLM orchestration).

Familiarity with FinOps tooling and cloud cost optimisation frameworks.

Open-source contributions or published technical writing on distributed systems topics.

Experience in regulated industries (BFSI, Telecom, HealthTech) with compliance posture management.

Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud landing zone designs.
