About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior On-Premises Solutions Architect to guide the evolution of critical enterprise applications that support essential business operations.

You will contribute to strategic modernisation, system integration, and legacy transformation initiatives, helping create scalable, resilient, secure, and sustainable solutions. Working closely with Development, Infrastructure, Database, Security, and Business teams, you will provide architectural direction for strategic products and platforms.

This role offers the opportunity to influence long-term technology decisions within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Define, review, and evolve the architecture of strategic enterprise applications;

Design scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable solutions;

Establish architectural standards, frameworks, and technical guidelines;

Provide architectural direction to software-development teams;

Lead architecture reviews and support strategic technical decisions;

Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Database, Security, and Business teams;

Define integration strategies across enterprise systems;

Support application-modernisation and legacy-transformation initiatives;

Evaluate technologies, platforms, and solutions against business and technical needs;

Identify technical risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities;

Promote compliance with architecture, security, and technology-governance standards;

Contribute to the long-term sustainability and evolution of the enterprise architecture;

Support strategic technology-transformation and business-growth initiatives.

Essential Requirements

Solid experience in Solutions Architecture, Application Architecture, or Enterprise Software Engineering;

Practical experience designing enterprise applications for on-premises environments;

Strong understanding of enterprise software development and system integration;

Experience defining architectural standards, frameworks, or best practices;

Familiarity with large-scale, business-critical, or highly available systems;

Experience supporting application-modernisation or legacy-transformation initiatives;

Understanding of scalable, resilient, secure, and maintainable architecture;

Ability to lead architectural assessments and support strategic technical decisions;

Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary technical and business teams;

Advanced English for professional communication;

Strong communication, analytical thinking, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

These qualifications are valuable but not mandatory:

Experience in Financial Services;

Professional background in banking, fintech, insurance, Asset Management, or Wealth Management;

Previous experience with a global consulting organisation;

Knowledge of enterprise middleware or integration platforms;

Experience with API ecosystems;

Familiarity with service-oriented architecture;

Participation in large-scale legacy-modernisation programmes;

Exposure to architecture-governance forums or enterprise-architecture practices.
